Photo Disclosure Comes Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein estate provided to the body are different than what is often referred to "the Epstein files". Those files are documents under the Department of Justice's custody connected to its independent investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its files. The full nature of the contents included in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's expected that much of the information will be extensively obscured, comparable to House Oversight Committee releases
